In contemporary society, English is an extremely significant language globally, which is a popular and practical language. People could communicate with foreigners to make international business through English. People should go abroad to different countries to travel, study, or work to expand their horizons. I perceive that everyone will learn bilingually because the country is developing quickly and technology. Children who are three to thirteen years old are the best time to learn a second language.

However, how to teach them effectively? I recognize the TESOL course that can obtain the teacherscertificate. TESOL course provides numerous exciting games, teaching methods, and suggestions to teach students in the class. I learn highly useful knowledge through the eight lessons: to be a great teacher, think maps, word formation, and methods of teaching.

To begin, I must know what mean TESOL is. TESOL means Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. One of the best times to teach someone a new skill, including a new language, is in the early development stages of childhood education. The teacher has to create an interesting learning environment to teach students. TESOL course teaches me how to be a great teacher. It is extraordinarily important knowledge for me to be.

I learned a great deal of crucial vital points:

1, I must have enthusiastic emotion for every student since I love my job. For example, I need to be greeting every student in every class with a smiley face. I can give them a huge hug or play interesting games with them.

2, I have considerable knowledge in my brain, and I know how to bring out the best to students in the class. I can create a joyful and exciting atmosphere rather than a boring one.

3, I may control the class procedure according to studentslevels and then adapt the class. I can allow students to use exaggerated tones of voice, gesture, or posture to give me the answers because they could not speak fluently.

4, I should motivate and encourage students when they meet complex problems. I do not figure out the mistakes directly because studentsconfidence will disappear.

5, Students will be easy to study when every lesson instruction should be logical and straightforward. I should make more eye contact with students.

6, I must make punishment and rewarding policies in the class when students do the great tasks or make huge mistakes. Punishment and rewarding rules are extremely significant parts of a teacher. Class discipline is essential for every type. Therefore, if I want to be an excellent teacher, I should have the above characters. A great teacher inspires students, and I like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others.

Second, I learned about think maps. Think maps are graphic organizers that support specific thinking skills and allow students to organize information. Think maps are practical tools to understand the target language. They are across all subjects and grade levels which can be used K 12 and beyond. They lead students to meaningful, memorable, and focused learning. They can develop studentsleft and right brains to think, create and imagine. There are eight styles think maps should remember them to use when I teach students.   They are bubble map, double bubble map, flow map, multi-flow map, circle map, tree map, brace map and bridge map. Every map is tremendously logical and useful for students to create their imaginations and awareness. I may use these think maps appropriately to teach diverse topics, sequences things, and relationships. I can clarify and emphasize information clearly for students. Consequently, think maps are the best way to teach for visual learners.

Moreover, teaching vocabulary is a highly technical strategy for a teacher. How to teach effective vocabulary for students who can remember deeply? I learned teaching vocabulary by word formation from the TESOL course. It has eight styles to teach new words, such as compounding, conversion, clipping, blends, backformation, acronyms, onomatopoeia, and eponyms. I can connect the word whether easy or difficult to use word-formation skills. For instance, I teach compound words form, which means two little words that come together to make a big new word, like the rainbow, catfish, etc. However, I must remember the steps of teaching vocabulary; pronunciation-meaning-usage-spelling. It is a highly critical sequence to teach students.

Finally, when I teach the topic in the class, I should use some teaching methods to clarify my information. The TESOL course teaches me six teaching methods to study: direct method, cognitive approach, T.P.R method, natural approach, Rassias method, and communicative language method. The direct and T.P.R methods are extremely common for teachers to use. Students could easily understand because the direct method is straightforward and factual. I can show real things, pictures, gestures, or facial expressions to students to teach them how to read them. Students just have to repeat the teachers pronunciation and vocabulary aloud, and then attempt to remember the words. For example, a teacher points to a banana, This is a banana.T.P.R method is teachers use physical activities to teach them new words and sentences, improving studentscomprehension abilities. It has five steps to do. I perceive the majority of teachers and students like this method because it is a tremendously intelligent and exciting method.   Likewise, other methods could be used in teaching in many environments. I could be familiar with any methods when I am a teacher.

To sum up, the TESOL course provides a lot of helpful technical strategies for students. I feel the course is interesting and fantastic. I can use these strategies to make my students happy and satisfied when they study. I should practice more times to improve my teaching methods because I must be a great teacher standing before my students.
